QUALITY MATERIALS POSSESS A COLOR SPECTRUM:

VIBRANT AND RADIANT - DELICATE AND SUBTLE.

All art work being offered for purchase on this site is created using the highest quality materials.

The oil paintings often take many months, starting with drawing and gouache studies then progressing with layers

of oil colors. With proper care you may expect your aquisition to endure for hundreds of years (or more).

            *  Oil paintings are painted on high quality oil primed linen which is either: stretched on heavy-duty

hardwood stretchers or archivally mounted on wood panels.

            *  The works on paper are on a variety of high quality papers, all are archival and acid-free.

            *  The paints: Oil and Gouache are Italian or German and are the highest quality with the highest stability

and light fasteness ratings. Made from rare and precious minerals from distant mountains and far away

                places for these paintings.

DISPLAY, CARE AND CONSERVATION:

            *  As with any art (painted surface) these paintings should not be exposed to direct sunlight or
long-term-intense-indirect sunlight or the colors will fade. Consider this when displaying your aquisition.
            * Installation consulting is available: e-mail SJC Fine Art to inquire about installation services.
            * Lighting your art IS an art! Many of these paintings take on different dramatic personalities as the display
lighting becomes dimmer or brighter. Consider halogen light(s) for these modern art pieces or spot lights.
            * "Cleaning" these paintings is not recommended and to be completely avoided.

*  If for any reason it becomes necessary to consider conservation or restoration of a painting or drawing,
please contact SJC Fine Art or an established, reputable art dealer for advise, restoration and conservation
                service or referral to an established conservator/restorer. (i.e.: Sotheby's, Christie's, Mallet's)

FRAMING OPTIONS:

1.)   Framing or framing recommendations for your art is also an available service - prices quoted upon request.
Many pieces do not require framing to display. Most collectors who have acquired paintings or drawings from

Lead time for custom framing of canvases: 5 - 8 weeks.

2.)  The works on paper may be matted and/or framed in a simple gallery style frame immediately upon request.

Prices quoted upon request. Inquire for further details.

Lead time for gallery style framing or matting of works on paper: 1 - 2 weeks.
